The Woodland School is now accepting applications for Fall 2026 at our location on the Sweet Briar College campus.
Our opening date has not yet been established and is dependent upon receiving our Virginia Child Day Center license. We will communicate a confirmed start date to enrolled families as soon as the licensing process allows us to do so.
We are also working to become a Child Care Subsidy Program vendor.

The Woodland School offers morning and extended-day programs on a two-, three-, or five-day schedule

School-Year Enrollment & Summer Session
The Woodland School follows a school-year enrollment model and is not a month-to-month program. Tuition is shown as a monthly payment amount, but enrollment is for the school year.
A separate summer session will be offered outside the regular school year. Additional information about summer enrollment, schedules, and tuition will be provided separately.
How to Apply
1. Submit an Application
Complete and submit one application and the nonrefundable $50 application fee for each child.
2. Family Visit & Interview
Once all required documents and fees are received, The Woodland School will contact your family to schedule a visit and interview on campus.
3. Admissions Decision
Families will receive an admissions decision. Depending on enrollment availability, a family may instead be offered a place on the waitlist.
4. Complete Enrollment
Upon acceptance, families will be invited to complete enrollment paperwork and pay the $200 enrollment fee for each child.
The enrollment fee will be refunded if The Woodland School does not obtain a license to operate a Child Day Center by November 15, 2026.
5. Finalize Enrollment
Enrollment becomes final upon the school’s licensure and receipt of the enrollment fee, completed enrollment forms, and first tuition payment.
